The original Dune movie adaptation received mixed reactions, which is a shame. It has a score done by the rock band, "Toto" and was directed by David Lynch with a very impressive cast. The run-time is similar to the modern-day movies as it's comfortably over two hours but despite the enjoyment fans got from it, it ultimately failed at the box office. Still though, these days you can stream it or choose to rent or buy the sci-fi story of spice, space and Paul Atreides' journey.
