Sunspots of April 6, 2013
Astrophotographer Giuseppe Petricca of Sulmona, Abruzzo, Italy sent in his composite image of sunspots created on April 6, 2013. He wrote: "Today was the first clear morning in weeks here in Italy, so I went out to photograph the current sunspots on the surface of our sun, including the big one, AR 1711! I took three pictures … and then I elaborated them with PS to enhance the details of all the various sunspots. Then I decided to put my final product next to this morning SDO hi-res image, for comparison. I must say that with the equipment that I have used (Nikon P90 non-reflex Bridge camera and a green welding glass as filter) the result is quite satisfactory … "
