Head to the Space.com Facebook Page tomorrow (Feb. 3) at about 12:15 EST (1715 GMT) for a chance to win an autographed copy of the new book "Earth in Human Hands" (Grand Central Publishing, 2016) by NASA astrobiologist and science communicator David Grinspoon

The new book gives readers "a more hopeful way of looking at the human role on planet Earth," according to a statement from the publisher. With information about how humans are altering the major physical systems of our planet, Grinspoon's book is ultimately a guide to how we got to this point and "how we should respond to that knowledge."

The new book "Earth in Human Hands" (Grand Central Publishing, 2016) is now available.

To win a copy, tune in to our Facebook Live interview with Grinspoon on Feb. 3 at 12:15 p.m. EST (1715 GMT) (time is subject to change). The host will ask viewers to answer a question by typing their answers in the comments section below the video, and the first two people who get it right will each win an autographed copy of the book. See below for complete contest rules.

Grinspoon is the author of two other popular space science books and many articles about space. In 2013 he was appointed the inaugural chair in astrobiology at the Library of Congress. He has served as an adviser on multiple NASA missions, and is a member of the Mars Curiosity rover team.
