Next 'Doctor Who' Will Be Named Sunday
The actor to take over the role of Doctor Who after the outgoing Peter Capaldi will be named Sunday following the men's final of Wimbledon. The news was announced in a video posted on BBC One's Twitter. Take a look:
UK tabloid The Mirror reported back in April that Kris Marshall had been tapped for the role, but it was never confirmed.
Capaldi announced his plans to depart back in January, but still has one final planned stint as the character - in the upcoming Christmas special.
