Formerly a Forensic Biologist with the Forensic Science Service, I am an expert witness in DNA profiling, body fluid evidence, bloodstain pattern analysis, and clothing damage analysis. I have research expertise in Forensic Genetics, mainly focusing on body fluid evidence and epigenetics. Prior to my current position as Professor of Forensic Science at the University of Hull, I was Head of Criminal Justice and Forensic Science at Staffordshire University and Post-graduate Course Leader and Subject Leader for Forensic Sciences at the University of Huddersfield.
