Kazuya Koyama
Professor of Cosmology, University of Portsmouth
Kazuya Koyama is a professor at the University of Portsmouth whose main research interest lies in theoretical cosmology. He studies the origin of structure in our Universe and test the early universe models using the statistical properties of the cosmic microwave background and the large scale structure of the Universe. He is also interested in explaining the late time acceleration of the Universe. In particular, Koyama investigate a possibility to realize the late time acceleration by modifying general relativity on cosmological scales and develop cosmological tests of gravity. He earned his Ph.D from Kyoto University in 2002.
