Best Space Wedding Decorations
Bring your love for space and your love for each other to your wedding with these space-themed decorations.
While space is the final frontier, marriage is definitely a huge step for humankind. Themed weddings are also a lot of fun — my wedding was a steampunk wedding and it was awesome — and if you love space as much as we do, having a space-themed wedding makes a lot of sense.
We've put together some of the basics you will need to make your space wedding a success.
Patelai 130 Feet Golden Glitter Star
The perfect backdrops
Put in front of black curtains, these paper stars instantly make you think of space. Each pack contains ten 13-feet long stars that can be draped down to form glittering curtains or strung across for a banner-like feeling around the room.
When you are first designing your room, the basic thing you will need is room decor, and this is a great place to start.
Blue Orchards Space Party Tablecovers
Bring galaxies to your dining
This set of four table covers is covered in tiny stars and galaxies and would look excellent as the base for your wedding tables. A word of caution; these are made of plastic so you will want to use them underneath something a little fancier a nice cloth runner would work well. You can also add star confetti on the table to soften the plastic feel.
Creaides 5 Pack Astronaut Spaceman Balloons
Bring some spacey fun
Everyone wants balloons at their wedding and I'm sure you will have silver/gold/blue/etc balloons all over the place. These foil balloons though will add a touch of fun around the room, especially if you have a kids table, and will go well with any color balloons.
If you are doing normal balloons I recommend buying LED lights to go inside them. They look amazing.
musykrafties Futuristic Hallway backdrop
A modern wedding needs modern decor
Pictures in a modern wedding can be a blessing and a curse. Everyone has a camera phone, and a bad picture from a friend on social media can be upsetting. Instead of banning pictures, you can ask people to only take them at a designated "selfie area."
This cool backdrop makes your guest look like they are on a space station looking out over strange and wondrous worlds. It's the perfect place for them to take selfies and have fun — especially if you give them props too — without the risk of catching the wedding party unawares.
LED String Light Astronaut Spaceship Rocket
Perfect for the kids table
When you have kids at any wedding you need to make them feel like part of the wedding. Making sure their table is specially decorated will help include the kids and give them a fun space to congregate.
These bright colored space LEDs might be a little too cartoony for the full wedding decor, but it's perfect for the littlest wedding guests.
Space Shuttle and Astronaut Gift Pack
One giant leap for marriage kind
Wedding cake toppers come in all shapes and sizes, but for a truly spacey feel, you can't get better than this little set. I really like that though the astronauts are gender-neutral, they are markedly different, so each person is represented. Or you can just got for "I now pronounce you rocket and shuttle"
Marriage, the final frontier
These are some of the basics you will need to really push your wedding into orbit. Space-themed weddings rely on stars, dark colors and bright LED's to be successful. The Patelai 130 Feet Golden Glitter Star garlands are a great place to start, especially if you use them with a black velvet backdrop. Theming a wedding is about making subtle choices, as well as blatant ones to bring your tastes into the room.
With that in mind if you want some very unsubtle ways to bring your space theme in then the Creaides 5 Pack Astronaut Spaceman Balloons is a great choice. Nothing says I like space than big, bright balloons in the shape of rocket ships and astronauts!
