Constellations

Step outside this week between 6 and 8 p.m. local time and look overhead and toward the south to see one of the landmarks of the mid-autumn sky: the Great Square of Pegasus, the flying horse.

NASA added 21 new "constellations" to the sky, thanks to invisible gamma-ray light.

While you're waiting to watch fireworks this Fourth of July, take a look up at the sky to spot Venus and other bright visible planets.

Just in time for Mother's Day, look up to see Virgo — the only feminine figure among the zodiac constellations, who in a way represents Mother Earth.
